Who am I and how my art was born

Yumiko Miyazaki is Miyuceramica’s painter and decorator. She was born in Japan and studied art and design at the University of Tokyo, where she worked as a graphic designer, but she had always wanted to work on something artisanal and artistic and so in 2014 she began attending a course by a ceramic master in Orvieto.
Yumiko creates various types of decorations, both in terms of their form and designs which, though different from each other, are all united by her passion.
The art of ceramics has existed and united people’s everyday lives in all historical periods in every part of the world. Yumiko’s decorations, representations, designs and geometries derive from her acquired experience of travelling and living in many different countries since she was young. She has met interesting people and has had a lot of experience with different cultures; a treasure that has had a huge impact on her life and undoubtedly influences her work.
Yumiko’s products are all handcrafted and painted by hand and she practices daily in order to produce increasingly refined lines and high quality decorations capable of customizing both traditional and modern environments.
